The first letter of every word at the beginning of a sentence must be capitalized in german. Also, the first letter of every noun must always be capitalized.
Unlike english, there is no translation for Sir. Or Ma. in german, however people that are addressed as Sir. Or Ma. in english are addressed in a formal way in German.
